This gallery came about from my need to easily display some of my photos on the net. Mainly for showing holiday snaps etc to family and friends. As these photos are not something I necessarily want to have permanently somewhere on the net, I wanted a quick and easy way to copy the photos to my server and create a gallery. This way, I only need to resize the photos to a reasonable size (I dont fancy uploading my 10mp photos), upload them to my chosen folder and include this index.php.

Parts of this gallery is based on a much bigger old project of mine called Folder Gallery, and it also makes use of the great Lytebox script.

In other words I only provide a neat way of packaging all the necessary stuff into one file, while all the fancy javascript stuff you can download separately from the above link. Credits for that of course go to the authors of Lytebox and Lightbox as well the clever people behind Scriptaculous and Prototype.
